Holocaust Memorial Day in Israel - A Nation Remembers

Throughout the day today, I hope to post memories of others, thoughts, feelings and is a hard day in Israel. A day of remembering that comes once a year, though it is something that we always live with...

Written by a sister of one of Israel's fallen soldiers...he was a Givati soldier - like our adopted son, Yaakov. Hagai Lev - may his memory be blessed...

When I was about 24 years old, ignorant about world history and world politics, my husband and I went to Israel with a tour group. We went through the Holocaust museum. I knew so little about WWII, and that is how I found out. I wept the entire way through and have not stopped weeping since. Some Americans also vow to remember.
