So many people seem to think that if only Israel would capitulate to the Arabs that they would leave the rest of the world alone! The truth is that Israel, almost by herself, is saving the rest of the world from darkness.

We buried my father a little over a year ago. He went to his grave covered in the flag of the United States, and with a military salute, because he was once a young man who went to battle to keep the world from darkness. His service was honorable, and worthy of respect, and so is Elie's.

None of which makes it any easier for the mothers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4386256495088401444.post-68005819863780195802009-02-02T18:42:00.000+02:002009-02-02T18:42:00.000+02:00My prayers and well wishes go out to you and your ...My prayers and well wishes go out to you and your family. Some times I think it is harder to send them back out once they have come home for a few days.

Ps. It is different to be a Soldier's Mom and it blesses us in a way few can understand, even as we worry and pray.
Blessings to you and your family ~Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4386256495088401444.post-59195640617449756942009-02-02T16:00:00.000+02:002009-02-02T16:00:00.000+02:00Cherish the time you get. Always remember that most soldiers rely on the people at home to be their ROCK, and to champion them in this crazy mixed up world. Military families are a breed apart from any other group of people. When there is a soldier in the family, diversity becomes your new middle name. Your first name is PRIDE.
Keep him in your prayers, and dont forget to LIVE when he is absent serving the greater good for God and Country.
Your a strong mom--and he knows that.
Blessings to you, your wonderful soldier, and Israel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4386256495088401444.post-67891003483413804912009-02-02T12:45:00.000+02:002009-02-02T12:45:00.000+02:00I've been catching up on your blog, and just read ...I've been catching up on your blog, and just read the account of your son's bar mitzva. I thought i'd leave a comment here even if belatedly to wish you mazel tov, nachas, and that you merit seeing all your children raised to torah, chupah, and maasim tovim. I was touched to read about your "adoptive" children. I see the love you have for others, and your own, Yeshalem hashem pa'aleych.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4386256495088401444.post-58608796120695104622009-02-02T06:40:00.000+02:002009-02-02T06:40:00.000+02:00I stop by here on occasion to read your posts.
