There were some areas that were still charred from more recent fires, but other areas that were so lush and green where the fires raged in 1988. It was while visiting that we learned from a Park Ranger that some seeds require the heat of fire to grow. So, while the fire was devastating, it made the way for new, beautiful growth, a rebirth of sorts. I only pray that this fire does the same for the forest that you all have lost in Israel.Temperancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01771383715977857134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4386256495088401444.post-23415379867089216832010-12-12T22:04:16.402+02:002010-12-12T22:04:16.402+02:00From death comes life. Its only when they unite, that life is miraculously created. The same thing will happen on the charred slopes of the Carmel. The natural evil in the world tells us if it did not exist, there would be no hope and no life. Only in death and from it do the generations of Nature and Man exist. There is more - one day, death itself will be no more! The Carmel calls to Israelis because amid the ruins, the seeds have already been planted and one day the forests there will be as vibrant again as Israel itself is alive.

Am Yisrael Chai!NormanFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03365459073293643108noreply@blogger.com
