Who Do You Remember?

(Please feel free to leave a comment below...)

On this day, Yom Hashoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day, I remember my husband's parents. They survived the war, having lost their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, four brothers and two sisters...and they answered the Nazis with the greatest answer of all. Four beautiful children...five grandchildren...four great grandchildren (and God willing many more).

Two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren (and others) have been named for my father-in-law - David Levi; one granddaughter and others have been named for my mother-in-law, Cyril, who was known as Elise.

Two pictures - my in-laws on their wedding day - my David and Aliza...named for the grandparents they were never blessed enough to have met, but whose names they carry in strength and beauty.

May the memories of my husband's parents be blessed. They set a model of courage that we all strive to live up to...every day of our lives.
