Exercising your humanity - a message to Jessica Johnson

I don't actually believe Jessica Johnson exists. She sent me a message, formulated, no doubt, by a computer.

This was her message:

Hi (first name) ... just kidding
Morning Paula R.,
I am a real human unless this is all just a simulation of course, but then we are both in the same boat.
I however am reaching out personally because WritePoint Ltd. is a perfect fit for our expertise. We are a software engineering firm specializing in custom software, mobile app, and web app development.
We specialize in helping clients like yourself offload your engineering burdens so we take care of building your tech while you focus on growing your business.
We offer a free 40-hour proof of concept to build your confidence. I'd love to hop on a brief call and walk you through it. What do you say?
Thanks,
Jessica Johnson
Customer Success Manager

I guess I reacted strangely and decided to respond and test whether this is a real human being. Here's my response:

Sorry – my country was viciously attacked by barbarians and 1,500 people were murdered (we don’t even have the exact number 2 weeks later), 222 (and counting) were dragged off into captivity by lunatic terrorists. Women were raped, babies beheaded.

If you know that WritePoint Ltd. is a perfect fit for your expertise, you should also know, at very least, that we are located in Israel and we aren’t ready to get back to humor or your business offering.

Our world has come crashing down around us. I encourage you, as you say you are a real human being, to act like one. And no, OMG, no, we are not in the same boat. Do you have sons who have been mobilized? Do you have hundreds of homeless families in your community? Do you watch your social media feeds filled with pictures of the missing and the massacred.

Thanks for offering to take over our engineering burdens; we’d rather you take care of Hamas.

What do I say? I encourage you to research your prospective targets better and utilize your humanity.

 Paula R.

Now let's see if she responds. I'll let you know...
