There are a lot of people in Israel who want to help. If you want to really help, watch this video, purchase these items, and then call one of the main organizations helping soldiers and say you need help either with them to deliver the supplies or to tell you where to take them.
This is one of the best videos I've seen. Years ago, during the Second Lebanon War, a friend and I drove up north to deliver supplies to Israeli soldiers. After a misunderstanding during a phone conversation on the way, we purchased tons of chocolate bars (in addition to all the other useful stuff). When we delivered it the soldier explained that chocolate melts...duh, we knew that.
So, these are the things that are needed.
Paula, I remember that trip. You brought socks to my son, a lone soldier. It meant so much to me that you did for me something I could not figure out how to do myself. Just to give him a little comfort and know that someone cared, I will never forget it. Thank you again.
