Imagine a World and Ask Why Not

There is one simple truth about October 7 October 7. This came up on my Faeebook feed, first posted, it seems, by Naveed Anjum.

This long, horrible war could have ended on October 8 if the world had said, "Israel, sit back. Mourn your dead. We'll get your hostages back, and we'll make sure Hamas understands it crossed all red lines of humanity." If a united world, led by the cowardly United Nations Security Council, had demanded the immediate return of the hostages, baby Kfir and his brother Ariel might have come home alive.

And Matan, and Alon, and Gali, and Tamir, and Sahar, and Elkana, and Ziv, and Mohammed, and Rom, and Nimrod, and Guy, and Ori, and Hersh, and Judy, and David and Uriel, and Tal, and Eitan, and Omri, and Omer, and Segev, and Avinatan, and Yosef-Chaim, and Arie, and Yossi and so many others.

If the International Criminal Court had stood for the victims of October 7 and not the barbarians that invaded a sovereign nation, and if the Europeans had ordered Qatar and Egypt to pull Hamas back into the realm of humanity, think how many Israelis and Gazans would be alive today.

And when you are done understanding the great failure of October 8...and every day since, ask yourself why. Why didn't that happen?

Why didn't the world rally around...the Jews? Recognize all that Israel does in this world, helping others and understand they are being manipulated ty two of the greatest enemies of our world - the fundamentalist Islamic leadership on one side and the corrupt and purchased media.
