A Final Word to Europe and the Antisemites that Dwell There

I'm having a dialog. It's enlightening. Nothing I say will change her mind. Bits of truth come out in her words while I waste time writing endless explanations. Her world is the BBC, Al Jazeera and the like. They talk. She believes.

She seeks out the worst; ignores any rational arguments because they don't match her opinion. She uses words like barbaric,She writes, 

"Your government and those that support them are either barbaric or not willing to face the truth about Israel's crimes against humanity. I don't hate anyone. It's because I'm a thinking person that I take Israeli propaganda with a huge pinch of salt. Unlike you, I don't believe the first thing I read or hear that fits with the narrative I tell myself, because I am so invested in my country being always right, always moral, always exceptional in everything it does.  

I am retired now, but in my work I looked at the evidence, the source of the information, the number of reputable sources. I sense checked the narrative. The fog of war does not obscure everything, even when foreign journalists are not allowed free access and journalists in situ are murdered. Nothing can justify killing children and babies, whether Hamas, Israeli or the UK. That should be obvious to anyone with any sense of morality. 

I don't understand the logic of your argument at times. Countries that invent amazing things and help when disasters strike can still be guilty of terrible wrongs. My own country is Scotland, and we have a great track record regarding inventions and discoveries - but we also have a dreadful history of benefiting from the slave trade.

But why did the world only scream when Gaza children were endangered...and the bulk of the time, they were endangered by Hamas, not Israel. And why didn't the world scream when they burned Jewish babies alive, when they strangled a 10-month-old baby with their bare hands? If you didn't care (and OMG, you didn't) when Jewish babies are massacred...isn't it ironic that you care when Gazan babies die? And ironic that we did more to protect them than you did. We dropped warning fliers, messaged ALL phones in the area telling them...OMG TELLING the innocent and so the terrorists too - move away from THIS specific area...because we are going to hit it...and hundreds of thousands, even more than a million DID move...and WE protected them as they moved, while Hamas shot at them. Where were you when we stood protecting Palestinian children while screaming in Hebrew praying that one child would make a run for it and be saved.

You are as you were during WWII when they were massacring Jews. You were silent...you only counted their children, their women...never ours. No country in the WORLD did more than we did to protect civilians. So again, why do you accept the lies and ignore the truth. You call everything I say lies and propaganda...but I've seen the videos, I've watched live when it was happening. I watched our soldiers go in and rescue our hostages and take the shirts off their backs to give the hostage warmth...we are not the barbarians. WE did not slaughter anyone. Yes, hell yes, we knocked buildings down - a hell of a lot of them..AFTER warning and more often, endangering the lives of our soldiers to check.

My sons were there. My youngest was in Gaza...he went into an apartment building...and do you know what he found? His unit anyway? They found an elderly Palestinian couple who had been locked into their apartments by Hamas. Hamas wanted Israeli soldiers to kill the couple...so they'd be victims. The couple literally asked the Israelis if they were going to kill them.

And do you know what they did...my son the Israeli soldier...or if I tell you will you tell me I am lying. They took the couple...I won't tell you what my son does, I don't trust you. But they called in a jeep, radioed for help. They gave them food and water and helped them pack some bags and they took them to the south of Gaza...to safety.

I know, another lie...from the mother of the young man who saw this, who did this. He's the medic...he checked them. Never mind, your hatred is larger than your heart. Nothing justifies MURDERING babies...

But babies are killed in war when their own people, sometimes their own parents, don't protect them.
Their stories are filled with coming into Israel on October 7 and murdering Jews with their bare hands, like the young man who called his parents with the phone of the Israeli woman he murdered. He was so excited, joyfully telling his parents what he'd done..and they told him to "KILL, KILL, KILL".

Babies are killed in war and I do regret and I am sorry and I wish with more than you'll ever know, that the Palestinians cared enough for their own children not to hide behind them, not to leave them unprotected.

In a previous war, a young man came home and told his mother that when they fired smoke into Gaza, in a fluke accident...the gas canister fell and killed a 9-year-old boy. He was very upset. He kept telling his mother...me..."Ima, why would parents let their child go play near a school where they were firing missiles in the middle of a war? Why?"

Do you have an answer for my sons? Do you accuse them of being monsters? I'm sorry...nothing I say will change your mind. It's all propaganda because a Jew says it. So let it be. Do us both a favor and ignore my blog...never in 2,000 years will you change my mind and never in your life will I change yours.
Where were you while we ran for bomb shelters? Where were you when we told you they were hiding explosives in mosques, in kindergartens, when they hid our hostages in their hospitals?

I don't write these last questions to her. There is no reason. I know exactly where she was....where she is now, in Scotland - hating Israel, hating Jews, hating me.

And ironically, it is because of people like her that we must have an Israel, that we must act decisively when we are attacked.

Never again....never again is now.
